Eligibility/Qualification

  • Masterโ€™s degree in urban planning, geography, urban studies, economics, social sciences, or movement sciences.
  • Strong interest in travel behavior and sustainable mobility.
  • Fluency in English and French; good knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • No prior work as an assistant for more than 12 months.
  • Valid permit for VUB and compliance with residence requirements.

Description

PhD candidates will conduct qualitative and quantitative research, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, publish findings, supervise masterโ€™s students, and engage with various stakeholders through participatory processes. The project aims to reduce car dependency in Brussels and promote cycling as a viable transport mode.
