Eligibility/Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., physics, mathematics, computer science, statistics, machine learning, data science, or computational biology/bioinformatics)
  • Strong programming skills (Python and/or R).
  • Experience with machine learning methods.
  • Independent, structured, detail-oriented work style.
  • Proficiency in English.

Desirable:

  • Experience with high-dimensional biomedical data analysis.
  • Familiarity with batch correction, dimensionality reduction, or multi-dataset integration methods.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • Interest in translational research and clinical applications.

Description

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Buchauer Lab and the Haas Lab to develop algorithms for integrating single-cell RNA sequencing datasets, engineer interpretable features for machine learning classification, and translate immune signatures to flow cytometry measurements aimed at lung disease diagnostics.
