Applicants must:
- Hold a Ph.D. in:
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Mechanical Engineering
- Applied Physics
- Or closely related disciplines
(Degree must be completed before appointment)
- Demonstrate:

- Hands-on experimental skills and/or relevant modeling experience

The selected candidate will:
- Conduct research on advanced processing of metallic materials using modern fabrication techniques such as:
- Powder metallurgy
- Additive manufacturing
- Design and produce metals and alloys with:
- Engineered microstructures
- Enhanced mechanical and functional properties
- Perform comprehensive material characterization including:
- Mechanical property evaluation
- Microstructural analysis
- Assessment of microstructural stability under thermal and/or mechanical loading
- Multi-scale testing under coupled environmental or extreme conditions
- Contribute to:
- Experimental design
- Data analysis
- High-impact journal publications
- Research proposal development
