Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will work on an interdisciplinary project funded by SNF BRIDGE, aimed at integrating Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) with a laser ablation system. The successful candidate will develop advanced optical systems that provide real-time visual feedback for corneal processing.
Responsibilities
- Develop an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system integrated with a laser ablation system.
- Ensure real-time visual feedback of the ablation site and control crater depth.
- Collaborate in a highly international and interdisciplinary team environment.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD Degree: Completed PhD in Physics, Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Excellent development skills in complex optical systems.
- Experience in optical simulation (preferably using Zemax).
- Strong programming skills (preferably in Python).
- Experience with deep learning algorithms is a plus.
- Excellent English language skills.
