Research Area

The research will delve into microbiology, biotechnology, and spectroscopic analysis related to bioconversion processes.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: A Master’s degree or equivalent in Applied Biotechnology, Biotechnology, or Microbiology.
  • Experience: Documented knowledge in microbiology, analytical chemistry methods, data analysis, and omics data.
  • Grade Requirements: Average grade of B or better in the Master’s degree courses and thesis within the Norwegian educational system.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in written and oral English.

Job Description

Main Tasks:

  • Develop and optimize microbial hydrolysis of feather and other keratinous materials.
  • Conduct vibrational spectroscopy analyses and chemical reference analyses.
  • Prepare samples for proteomics and collaborate with the proteomics team.
  • Analyze obtained data and disseminate results through peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
  • Work collaboratively within the project team and with other project partners.

  • Strong time management, social skills, and ability to work in interdisciplinary environments.
