Project Description
Project Title:
“3D genome re-organization during induced senescence in pancreatic cancer – insights from analysis of single chromatin fibers.”
This project builds upon previous discoveries demonstrating that HMGB2 loss drives genome architecture changes enforcing senescence. The study aims to:
- Investigate interactions of HMGB2 and upstream regulators
- Examine transcriptional and epigenomic remodeling in pancreatic cancer organoids
- Identify structural biomarkers using long-read Nanopore sequencing
Experimental Approaches:
- Capture-C, Micro-C, PORE-C
- WGBS methylome profiling
- DamID (Lamin association)
- CUT&RUN (H3K9me3 enrichment)
- RNA-seq, ChIP-seq
- Single chromatin fiber multimodal mapping
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an independent research project
- Plan and perform molecular biology and cell culture experiments
- Conduct computational analysis of NGS and Nanopore sequencing data
- Present findings in lab meetings, seminars, and international conferences
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
Eligibility / Qualifications
Essential:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field
- Strong background in molecular biology/biochemistry techniques
- Experience with genomic experiments (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, WGBS, etc.)
- At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication in a relevant field
- Demonstrated independent research capability
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
Desirable:
- Experience with chromatin conformation capture techniques
- Bioinformatics expertise
- Experience with Nanopore sequencing
