Research Area
The research focus is on hadron spectroscopy, with significant involvement in the INSIGHT experiment at the local electron accelerator ELSA, along with contributions to international experiments at CERN and Jefferson Lab.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in physics or a related subject
- Experience in detector design and setup
- Familiarity with plastic scintillators, pixel detectors, or read-out electronics
- Good English skills
- A self-motivated, flexible team player with an interest in advanced training
Job Description
- Support research in experimental hadron physics
- Assist and coordinate hardware activities
- Design, develop, and commission new detector systems
- Teach four course units per week in seminars, lab courses, practical projects, and project groups
