Eligibility/Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Physics or a closely related discipline.
  • Foreign degrees must meet admission criteria for the PhD program.
  • Minimum average grade of B for Master’s courses, with the thesis also graded B or better.
  • Proficiency in Python or Julia for scientific computing.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.

Description

The PhD candidate will be involved in developing theory-based models for electronic scattering, computing electronic and thermal transport properties, and performing materials screening with machine learning to identify promising thermoelectric materials. The candidate will engage in formal training, participate in research activities, publish findings, and complete a PhD dissertation.
