Research Area

This position focuses on the organization and regulation of the mitochondrial genome, mechanisms controlling mitochondrial gene expression, the role of mitochondria in aging, and the impact of mitochondrial dysfunction on diseases.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD in Molecular Biology or Genetics
  • Experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, mouse genetics, and various -omics methods
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills in English
  • Ability to pursue independent research projects and collaborate on ongoing projects

Job Description

The successful candidate will independently pursue a main project while collaborating on additional research within the group. This role involves biochemical, molecular, and cell biological approaches, incorporating modern -omics techniques and advanced genetic models to study mitochondrial function and its implications in various diseases and metabolic disorders.
