Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (or nearing completion) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong technical expertise in machine learning and deep learning.
  • Proficiency with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal data processing (sensor, audio, video).
  • Solid programming skills for implementing and evaluating AI systems with real-world data.
  • Familiarity with mobile application development for Android and iOS is desirable.
  • Interest or experience in navigation research or spatial cognition is a plus.

Description:

The selected PhD candidate will actively engage in the design and evaluation of a groundbreaking AI-powered mobile app that supports cognitive health. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to empirical studies in community and clinical settings.
  • Supporting data collection and analysis across multiple modalities, including behavioral and cognitive assessments.
  • Assisting in the iterative development and validation of the mobile platform.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and engineers.
  • Contributing to scientific writing and presenting research findings nationally and internationally.
