Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Assistant: The Kamoun Lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher or research assistant to contribute to groundbreaking research on plant immune receptors, specifically focusing on nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat (NLR) proteins and their interactions with pathogen virulence effectors. This role supports international research efforts aimed at enhancing crop disease resistance.

Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesDetails
Ownership of Research ProjectsManage defined projects within the Kamoun Lab portfolio.
Experimental Design and ExecutionDesign and conduct experiments addressing fundamental and applied questions in plant immunity.
Collaborative WorkCollaborate with lab members and integrate various biological approaches.
Dissemination of ResearchContribute to publications, presentations, and engagement with collaborators.

Appointment Details

  • Contract: Initially offered for 48 months, with a flexible start date.
  • Salary:
  • UEA Research & Analogous Grade 6: £31,236—£37,694
  • Grade 7: £38,784—£46,049, depending on experience.
  • Visa: Eligibility for sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker Visa route assessed individually.
