Postdoctoral Fellow in Proteomics: The Cruchaga lab at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to study proteomics and multi-omic data for identifying Alzheimer’s biomarkers and targets. Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistical Genomics, or a related field involving omics datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale human omics studies (preferably related to neurodegeneration).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (R, Python, or Perl) and experience in Linux/high-performance cluster environments.
  • Strong analytical reasoning skills to extract biological insights from data.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Analyze high-throughput multi-omic data (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) to identify novel biomarkers and druggable targets.
  • Utilize machine learning and AI approaches for biomarker identification.
  • Integrate proteomics with genetic data to explore causal relationships and novel therapeutics.
  • Collaborate with a large, multidisciplinary team of researchers and contribute to ongoing research projects.
