MS & PhD Graduate Research Scholarships: The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Laboratory (AMML) at Kookmin University is inviting applications from motivated international students for M.S. and Ph.D. research positions in advanced materials and polymer composite manufacturing. The program offers full tuition support, a competitive monthly stipend, and opportunities to participate in international conferences. Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants should have a background in one of the following fields:

  • Materials Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Or closely related disciplines

Additional requirements:

  • Strong academic record (GPA)
  • Demonstrated interest in polymer materials or composite manufacturing
  • Publications or research experience are advantageous

Job Description

Selected candidates will conduct research in the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Laboratory (AMML) focusing on:

  • Designing manufacturing processes for polymers and polymer matrix composites
  • Studying thermal properties and mechanical behavior of materials
  • Developing structural composites such as GFRP, CFRP, and recyclable/biodegradable polymers
  • Developing functional composites including hydrogel bio-patches, flexible sensors, actuators, and energy harvesting systems
  • Applying physical and mathematical modeling to understand material performance
