Eligibility/Qualification

QualificationDescription
MScMust have a Master’s degree in plant science, plant breeding, biology, or a related quantitative field.
ExperienceHands-on experience in crop genomics and managing genotyping data.
BiostatisticsFamiliarity with biostatistical methods, including mixed-models.
Programming SkillsProficiency in data analysis using R and/or Python.
Communication SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate across disciplines.

Description

The PhD position involves combining genotypic and phenotypic data with biological information and developing innovative data-mining approaches to analyze the genetic architecture of important traits in elite winter wheat populations. The candidate will work within a third-party funded research project in a state-of-the-art research environment, contributing to advancements in crop genetics and genomics.
