Eligibility / Qualification

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD (or equivalent) in:
    • Molecular Biology
    • Biochemistry
    • Genetics
    • RNA Biology
    • Bioengineering or related field
  • Experience in biochemical and/or genetic approaches
  • Strong publication record (at least one first-author paper/preprint)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to independently conduct research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in RNA biology or translation research
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture
  • Quantitative and analytical approach to biological problems

Job Description

The selected candidate will work in the Subramaniam Lab, focusing on cutting-edge RNA biology research. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading an independent research project on mRNA translation and regulation
  • Designing and conducting deep-sequencing experiments
  • Identifying RNA regulatory elements and protein factors
  • Applying CRISPR-based high-throughput screening (ReLiC platform)
  • Using computational tools to analyze large-scale datasets
  • Investigating:
    • Effects of cell identity and stress on gene regulation
    • Subcellular mRNA localization
    • Non-canonical translation in antiviral immunity
  • Presenting research in meetings, conferences, and seminars
