Research Area:

Studies on the replacement ability of bitumen with bio-materials based on multi-performance compatibility analysis.

Location:

Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Poland.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  1. PhD degree in civil engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
  2. MSc degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  3. Very good command of English (minimum B2 level); knowledge of Polish is an asset.
  4. Scientific profile aligned with road construction technology.
  5. Knowledge of rheological and chemical characterization of asphalt and polymer materials used in road engineering.
  6. Minimum 3 years of documented research experience in rheological and/or physicochemical properties of petrochemical materials.
  7. Experience in presenting research results at international conferences.

Description:

The successful candidate will conduct research on physicochemical, thermal, and rheological properties of bio-modified bitumen, while analyzing the durability and aging resistance of bio-bitumen.
