Eligibility/Qualification
- Required: PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Candidates who obtained their PhD three years prior to the application deadline will be prioritized. The three-year frame may be extended based on special circumstances (e.g., sick leave, parental leave).
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in English.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research focusing on:
- Understanding how trace impurities in recycled metal sulfate streams influence precursor synthesis for cathode materials.
- Investigating ammonia-controlled co-precipitation of precursor materials and assessing the effects of various impurities on precipitation chemistry and particle properties.
- Designing and conducting experiments, synthesizing and characterizing precursor materials, and analyzing the impact of impurities on battery performance.
- Collaborating with industry and wider society, publishing research findings, and potentially engaging in teaching (up to 20% of working hours).
