Research Area:
Mathematical biology, computational mathematics, and mathematical modeling.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completion of a doctoral qualification in applied mathematics or an equivalent discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in mathematical modeling.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or Julia.
- Proven academic research experience evidenced by publications in high-quality research journals.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within teams and with external stakeholders.
Additional Criteria for Level B:
- Experience with biological data analysis and interpretation in relation to mathematical modeling.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration experience with biological researchers (preferable but not necessary).
- Potential or demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree students effectively.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the MACSYS mission through research and may also contribute to undergraduate or postgraduate teaching in mathematical sciences. Responsibilities include:
