Eligibility/Qualification:
- Required:ย Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics or related field (must be completed prior to start date).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in solution growth of single crystals.
- Familiarity with high-temperature synthesis equipment.
- Knowledge of materials characterization techniques (X-ray diffraction, electrical and thermal transport).
- Experience with cryogenic equipment and data analysis software.
- Capability to write scientific papers and present research findings in English.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will conduct research on the growth parameters for novel materials and characterize their properties under various conditions (temperature, magnetic field, pressure). The position involves:
- Collaborating closely with theoretical and scattering efforts.
- Utilizing synthetic techniques for growing single crystals.
- Conducting thermodynamic and transport measurements.
- Analyzing crystal electric field splitting and potential Kondo energy scales.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively relay findings to diverse audiences.
