Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in analytical chemistry, microfluidics, chemical engineering, robotics, biomedical engineering, or related field
- Experience in microfluidics, specifically segmented slug flow
- Proficiency in programming (preferably Python and LabView)
- Strong interest in metabolomics and NMR
- Good to excellent proficiency in English
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Studying slug stability of organic solvent slugs (e.g., acetone, acetonitrile, chloroform) in various push solvents for detecting apolar metabolites using segmented flow NMR.
- Developing novel NMR flow cells to investigate how flow-cell design influences slug stability.
- Advancing the automation of liquid handling platforms, including pump control, slug detection, and feedback loops.
- Demonstrating the system’s applicability through use cases in biotechnology and healthcare.
