Summary
The University of Twente is offering a fully-funded PhD position focused on the hybrid particle-continuum modelling of backward erosion piping (BEP) in heterogeneous soil layers. This research is crucial for flood safety and aims to enhance understanding of how dikes can fail due to BEP.
