Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Synthesize Li-cathode materials and evaluate their electrochemical performance in Li-half cells and full cells.
- Characterize performance degradation mechanisms and apply coatings/substitutions for improved cycling stability.
- Conduct advanced diagnostic studies and perform complex data analysis.
- Communicate research findings through reports and presentations, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with experimental design and independent research.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of solid-state chemistry and rechargeable lithium battery chemistry.
- Experience in inorganic synthesis, battery electrode fabrication, and testing.
- Proficiency with characterization instruments such as XRD, SEM, TGA, XPS.
- Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with synchrotron-based characterization techniques (preferred but not essential).
