Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or relevant discipline.
- Strong interest in additive manufacturing and semiconductor technologies.
- Experience in materials characterization (SEM, EBSD, XRD) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Laser Powder Bed Fusion processes is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Job Description
The PhD project will focus on:
- Developing cooling solutions for high-performance computing and AI hardware.
- Designing novel interlayer alloys and optimizing multi-material LPBF processes.
- Investigating interfacial physics governing thermal transport across metal-silicon interfaces.
- Fabricating and validating cooling demonstrators for chip packaging applications.
- Engaging with academic researchers and industrial partners in this interdisciplinary field.
