Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  • A PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Aspen Plus and/or Aspen HYSYS process simulation software.
  • Strong expertise in process design and separation processes.
  • Experience in hydrometallurgy, metals recovery, or critical materials recovery is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Job Description

The successful applicant will:

  • Conduct advanced research on sustainable technologies for e-waste recycling.
  • Develop and optimize process simulation models using Aspen Plus/HYSYS.
  • Design and scale up innovative chemical processes.
  • Investigate hydrometallurgical methods for recovering critical metals from electronic waste.
  • Perform process optimization and sustainability assessments.
  • Collaborate with an international team of researchers across partner institutions.
  • Contribute to publications, technical reports, and project deliverables.
