Eligibility / Qualification

  • Education: PhD degree in Atmospheric Science (ideally with prior postdoctoral experience).
  • Technical Skills: * Proficient in relevant aerosol mass spectrometric methods.
    • In-depth experience in data analysis and programming (e.g., Python).
  • Track Record: Proven track record of successful publications in high-impact journals.
  • Language: Very good oral and written English communication skills.
  • Soft Skills: Must be a strong team player capable of working in an interdisciplinary environment.

Job Description & Tasks

  • Running advanced mass spectrometers including AMS, online Orbitrap-MS, VOCUS-PTR, and MIPTOF.
  • Conducting ambient measurements in polluted areas.
  • Performing source apportionment and investigating processes relevant to the ambient environment.
  • Conducting chamber/flowtube experiments with a specific focus on solid fuel combustion and mixed source experiments.
  • Publishing research findings in high-impact scientific journals.
  • Supporting and co-supervising other Postdoctoral Fellows and PhD students across different research campaigns.
