Summary

The group of Prof. Johanna Joyce at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position. The Joyce lab investigates the tumor microenvironment, specifically focusing on the critical influence that non-cancerous immune and stromal cells have on tumor progression and therapeutic resistance. The ultimate goal is to develop targeted therapies that disrupt critical tumor-stromal interactions and apply this knowledge to the clinic.

Eligibility/Qualification

To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., cancer biology or immunology).  
  • Experience working with mouse models and/or clinical samples (specifically looking for candidates with experience in tumor microenvironment and metastasis research).  
  • Strong spoken and written competency in English.  

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Joyce lab, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading independent research project(s) focusing on the tumor microenvironment and therapeutic resistance.  
  • Supervising Master’s students in their research.  
  • Contributing to collaborative team projects within the lab.
