Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Requirements
- PhD Degree: Must hold a PhD in the area of Life Sciences at the time of contract formalization.
- Publication Record: Co-authorship in at least one peer-reviewed publication in a prestigious scientific journal (in any position).
Desirable Criteria & Evaluation Scoring
- C1 – Sarcomere Mechanics Experience (30%): Proven research experience in sarcomere mechanics and sarcomeric proteins, with the ability to autonomously design and carry out research projects in this field.
- C2 – Bioinformatics & Omics Analysis (30%): Accredited experience in processing, analyzing, and bioinformatically interpreting complex omics datasets (bulk transcriptomics, sc/snRNA-seq, ATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and/or proteomics) for in vitro and in vivo studies.
- C3 – International Experience (20%): Accredited international mobility through research stays abroad.
- C4 – Interview (20%): Conducted for top candidates who achieve a minimum of 70 points across criteria C1–C3.

Job Description
The selected candidate will carry out the following duties:
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments to elucidate the molecular mechanisms governing the mechanical function of sarcomeric proteins in myocyte contraction.
- Utilize advanced experimental techniques, including histology, microscopy, molecular biology, cell culture, and bioinformatic analysis of complex omics data.
- Participate actively in departmental seminars, research group meetings, and scientific presentations.
- Present research findings at international scientific meetings and conferences.
- Prepare and publish high-impact manuscripts in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
- Assist with routine maintenance and organizational tasks within the laboratory and department.
