Eligibility / Qualification

  • Education: PhD (Promotion) in Natural Sciences, preferably in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Technical Expertise: Practical and theoretical experience in protein production, purification, and crystallization.
  • Structural Biology: Practical and theoretical experience in protein structure determination via X-ray crystallography.
  • Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Soft Skills & Attributes:
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international, interdisciplinary team.
    • Interest in participating in and presenting research results at international conferences.
    • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions.

Job Description

  • Production and crystallization of recombinant proteins.
  • X-ray crystallographic analysis of protein crystals, including data collection and data processing/evaluation.
  • Protein structure determination using X-ray crystallography.
  • Identification of viral inhibitors using structural biology and in silico computational methods.
  • Writing research papers and presenting scientific findings orally at conferences and group meetings.
