Summary
The University of Twente is offering a four-year PhD position as part of a granted NWO-OTP proposal in cooperation with major industry partners including Nokian Tyres, Synthos, Momentive, and Solvay. The project aims to tackle environmental pollution caused by micro-plastics from tire wear by gaining a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms of micro-abrasion. - Have relevant research experience, which is highly desirable, particularly in the analysis of wear behavior, rubber compounding, mixing, and performance testing.
- Possess a strong command of the English language (both written and spoken).
Scholarship Description
The successful candidate will join an inspiring, multidisciplinary, and international research ecosystem. The benefits and offer include:

- A starting gross monthly salary of €3,204 in the first year, increasing to €4,051 in the fourth year.
