Eligibility / Qualification

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours, or an equivalent level of academic achievement.
  • Citizenship: Must be an international applicant (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident).
  • Enrollment Status: Eligible to enroll full-time, on-campus in the PhD program at UniSQ.
  • Commencement: Must commence or continue PhD study in 2027. (Continuing students must have eligible remaining candidacy).

Scholarship Description & Benefits

  • Stipend: An annual living allowance of AUD $39,000 per annum.
  • Tuition Fees: 100% tuition fees covered by UniSQ for a maximum of 3 years full-time equivalent study (prior study towards the degree will be deducted).
  • Single Application: Stipend and tuition fee support are awarded together via a single unified application.

How to Apply

  1. Apply for PhD Admission: Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program is a separate mandatory process that must be initiated to be considered.
  2. Find a Supervisor & Topic: Consult potential UniSQ supervisors to align your research topic with UniSQ flagship areas.
  3. Prepare Required Documents:
    • Completed Statement of Claim (co-signed by applicant and supervisor).
    • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) including research publications, conference presentations, and awards.
