✅ Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong academic background in:
- Materials
- Manufacturing
- Metallurgy
- Mechanics
- Related engineering disciplines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interest in experimental research and materials characterization.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative research environment.
- Previous experience in additive manufacturing, materials characterization, metallurgy, or mechanical testing will be considered an asset.
🧪 Job / Research Description
Selected students will work on funded research projects involving the manufacturing and characterization of advanced metallic materials.
Potential research activities include:
- Developing and optimizing metal additive manufacturing processes.
- Investigating relationships between manufacturing parameters and material properties.
- Controlling microstructure and phase transformations.
- Developing nanoparticle-reinforced metallic materials.
- Conducting experimental research and advanced materials characterization.
- Performing mechanical testing and analyzing experimental results.
- Collaborating with researchers in an interdisciplinary advanced manufacturing environment.
