Eligibility & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree: A Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related biomedical field.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in cellular neurobiology, biochemistry, genetics, and proteomics.
  • Specialized Methods: Demonstrated expertise in APEX/BioID-based proximity labelling and mass spectrometry/proteomics workflows.
  • Research Output: A strong track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Soft Skills: Proven project management and interdisciplinary collaboration capabilities.

Desirable / Valued Skills:

  • Experience in mouse handling, genetics, and behavioral assays.
  • Experience with primary neuronal cultures, live neural imaging, or advanced confocal/super-resolution microscopy.
  • Knowledge of AI-based protein modeling and structural biology tools.
  • Experience in grant/fellowship proposal writing.
  • International mobility experience and lab leadership/mentorship track record.

Job Description

  • Spearhead an interdisciplinary research project investigating neuropeptide signaling dynamics and associated protein complexes.
  • Design and execute experiments using mouse models and primary neuron cultures in conjunction with high-resolution proteomics.
  • Collaborate actively across the Center for Proteins in Memory (PROMEMO) and the Nordic-EMBL Partnership in Molecular Medicine (DANDRITE).
  • Receive structured mentorship and professional development training in grant writing, scientific communication, and laboratory leadership.
  • Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences and prepare high-impact manuscripts for publication.
