Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a PhD obtained within the past 3 years.
- Be 35 years of age or younger.
- Have a PhD in horticulture, crop genetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Have at least one first-author or corresponding-author publication in a high-level SCI journal.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and independent research capability.
- A background in plant genetics is preferred.
- Possess good Chinese and English scientific writing skills.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Be willing to travel to field research sites when required.
Job Description
The selected researchers will join Prof. Yang Xueyong’s Functional Genomics Team and contribute to research in vegetable functional genomics and crop improvement.
The research will involve areas such as:
- Investigating the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying important vegetable traits.
- Developing and applying genetics and breeding technologies.
- Studying source–sink interactions in cucurbit crops.
- Investigating genome–environment interactions affecting crop yield, quality, and stress resilience.
- Conducting independent research and contributing to collaborative projects.
- Participating in laboratory and field-based research activities.
- Publishing research findings in high-quality scientific journals.
