Eligibility/Qualification
Education
- Doctorate (PhD) in Phytopathology or an equivalent field.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in experimentation on plant-microorganism interactions.
- Basic knowledge of molecular biology (DNA extraction, PCR).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, interpretation, and processing of scientific data.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and scientific writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an environment involving academic and industrial partners.
- Good command of scientific English (reading and writing).
- Autonomy, rigor, organizational skills, and initiative.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will integrate into the Plant Pathology Research Unit, benefiting from access to state-of-the-art facilities for microbiology, microscopy, molecular biology, and metabolomics. The role involves working under the supervision of Marc Bardin (DR INRAE) and Clémentine Lepinay (CR INRAE), experts in alternative strategies for protecting against tomato fungal diseases and plant-associated microbiota characterization. The position is part of the BIOSPHAERE project.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the efficacy of biosolutions through controlled trials to select the most performing candidates.
- Characterize the modes of action of selected active substances by analyzing their direct and indirect biological effects.
- Validate the most promising biosolutions under semi-commercial conditions and identify factors influencing their efficacy.
- Assess the impact of treatments on plant-associated microbial communities.
- Contribute to the scientific animation of the project through exchanges with partners, presentation of results at scientific conferences, and drafting of reports and publications.
