A postdoctoral research position is available at CEA Grenoble (IRIG/PHELIQS/L_Sim) focused on the modeling of electronic and thermal transport in semiconductor nanostructures. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of advanced simulation tools for next-generation electronic devices and quantum technologies.
Postdoctoral Research Position: Modeling of Electronic and Thermal Transport in Semiconductor Nanostructures
Job Summary
The researcher will work on atomistic modeling of electron and phonon transport in semiconductor nanostructures (such as Si/Ge nanowires and nanosheets). The project involves developing and implementing numerical methods based on Tight-Binding and Density Functional Theory (DFT) to study applications in advanced CMOS technologies, quantum computing (qubits), and thermoelectrics.
