Research Areas and Projects

Position 1: Circular Construction (SWIRCULAR)

This position focuses on the development of digital passports and matchmaking methods. The goal is to connect reclaimed construction materials and components with new design demands within the Swiss construction industry.

Position 2: Circular Design (CEBE)

This role involves an international collaborative project focusing on computer vision and generative AI. The research aims to design a sustainable, future-ready built environment. Occasional international travel is required.

Position 3: LCA (SNSF Funded)

This position focuses on circularity assessment and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of structures, with a specific emphasis on steel. The research examines how reusing structural elements can significantly reduce the environmental impact of buildings and infrastructure.

Job Description

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research within the assigned project (SWIRCULAR, CEBE, or SNSF).
  • Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
  • Disseminate results to academic, industrial, and public audiences.
