The Department of Genomics & Immunoregulation at the University of Bonn’s LIMES Institute is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the national consortium ITREAT.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d)

Research Area: Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, with a focus on transcriptomics and data integration in the context of viral inflammatory reactions.

Location: University of Bonn, Life & Medical Sciences (LIMES) Institute, Department of Genomics & Immunoregulation, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biomedicine, Biotechnology or a similar topic.
  • Strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, biomathematics, or comparable computer programming skills.
  • Experience in the analysis of single-cell RNA-Seq and bulk RNA-Seq data.
  • Background in biology, preferably immunology.
  • Very good communication and writing skills in English.
  • Enthusiasm to work in a thriving academic research environment.
  • Interest in working in an international environment.
  • Strong collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Job Description:

The Department of Genomics & Immunoregulation at the University of Bonn’s LIMES Institute is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the national consortium ITREAT. The successful candidate will be part of a team analyzing immunological multiomics data and improving/developing computational approaches using state-of-the-art technologies and IT infrastructure.
