The research group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a collaborative project between the Institute for Quantitative Biosciences at the University of Tokyo and the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at the Karolinska Institute. The project focuses on investigating the role and effects of DNA supercoiling on chromosome structure and dynamics during Drosophila melanogaster development.

Eligibility/Qualification: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, or a related field. Experience in live-imaging, super-resolution microscopy, and genome engineering is required. Candidates must also have excellent communication skills and be proficient in written and spoken English.

Postdoctoral Researcher in DNA Topology and Supercoiling during Drosophila melanogaster Development

The postdoctoral researcher will lead the project in collaboration with the Pls and other members of the groups. The responsibilities include planning and execution of experiments and evaluation of results. The successful applicant is also expected to deliver written and oral presentations of the project in English. He/she will also be actively involved in common duties in the laboratory and supervise students when appropriate.
