Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) on Deep Learning Language Models for Host-pathogen Interactions

Postdoctoral Researcher - Germany

Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d): Research group is looking for a talented and passionate Postdoctoral Researcher to design the next generation of genomic algorithms for host-pathogen interactions using transformer-based deep learning algorithms. The project is a collaboration between the TU Dresden and CASUS, focusing on the training of task-agnostic language models and using them to extract language rules and biological meaning.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Deep Learning Language Models for Host-pathogen Interactions

Location: CASUS in Görlitz, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification: The candidate should have a PhD in a relevant area of research at the start of the project. Strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or computer science is required. Experience in deep learning, natural language processing, and genomic analysis is preferred.

Job Description: The selected candidate will work on the development of novel deep learning algorithms for host-pathogen interactions, focusing on the analysis of genomes as text. The project will involve the training of task-agnostic language models and their application to extract language rules and biological meaning. The position will be mainly located in CASUS in Görlitz, Germany, and will be embedded in the team of Artur Yakimovich and in close interaction with the group of Prof. Anna Poetsch at the Biotechnology Center of the TU Dresden, Germany.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should apply via the online application form provided at the end of this post. The application should include a CV, a motivation letter, and the contact information of two references.

Last Date for Apply: The position is open until filled. However, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
