Postdoctoral Scholar in Energy & Equity: The Energy and Equity Project at the University of Washington Bothell is inviting applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research on and with high school teachers integrating equity education into their physics instruction. The successful candidate will be responsible for data analysis, writing research papers for peer-reviewed research and practitioner journals, and collaborating with university and high school teacher colleagues to develop and refine research findings. This is a full-time, 12-month renewable appointment for up to two years, with a starting salary of $66,631.

Eligibility/Qualification: The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics Education Research or related field, with a demonstrated capability and interest in conducting research on and with high school teachers integrating equity education into their physics instruction. They should also have excellent presentation and writing skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Scholar will construct evidence-supported arguments about integrating equity into energy instruction, based on an existing video data library of hundreds of hours of online high school physics teacher professional development, teacher lesson plans, and surveys. They will also collaborate with university and high school teacher colleagues to develop and refine research findings, present findings at academic conferences, and lead and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
