About- The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), a Deemed to be University u/s 3 of UGC Act, 1956 is a premier educational institution significantly contributing in the sphere of Human Resource Development for the Defence Forces by way of imparting education, research and training on Defence Technologies to the officers of Armed Forces, Scientists of the DRDO, Technical officers of the Ordnance Factory Board, Directorate of Quality Assurance, Defence Public Sector Undertakings and friendly foreign countries. Eligibility/Qualification–
The minimum Qualification for Appointment to Faculty positions will be as under: –

| Assistant Professor [Aerospace Engineering] [01-SC] | Essential: (i) PhD Degree in the specific area of specialization as per Para 3 above with a First Class at Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Two years’ experience in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of lecturer or equivalent grade extensively in the area of Aerospace Structures. Desirable: Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; Published work (at least 02 papers in Scopus indexed journals), patents filed/ obtained, books and/ or technical report; Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of UG/PG/Research students or supervising R&D projects in industry. |
| Assistant Professor [Computer Science & Engineering] [01-PwBD] | Essential: (i) PhD Degree with a First Class at Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering in the specific area of specialization, as per Para 3 above, from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with demonstrable skills in the area of Digital Forensic, GANs, NLP, LLMs. (ii) Two years’ experience in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of lecturer or equivalent grade. Desirable: Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: – Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; Published work (at least 02 papers in Scopus indexed journals), patents filed/ obtained, books and/ or technical report; Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of UG/PG/Research students or supervising R&D projects in industry. |

Two years’ experience in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of lecturer or equivalent grade in the area of Robotics. Desirable: Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; Published work (at least 02 papers in Scopus indexed journals), patents filed/ obtained, books and/ or book chapters; Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of UG/PG/Research students or supervising R&D projects in industry/academia as a Research Associate or Post-Doctoral Fellow. |

| Assistant Professor [School of Quantum Technology] [01-UR] | Essential: PhD Degree with a First Class at Master’s & Bachelor’s Degree in Physics in the specific area of specialization as per Para 3 above, from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Two years’ experience in teaching, post-doctoral research and / or industry at the level of lecturer or equivalent grade. Desirable: Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: Teaching, research, with demonstrable experimental expertise in the areas of quantum optics, atomic clocks, cold-atom physics, quantum sensing single photon physics, ion traps in national / international labs of repute. A good publication track record in the relevant areas with adequate skills to set up an advanced facility in one or more areas mentioned above. Published work (at least 02 papers in Scopus indexed journals), patents filed/ obtained, books and/ or technical report; Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of UG/PG/Research students or supervising R&D projects in industry/ academia as a Research Associate or Post-Doctoral Fellow. |

Job/Position Description-
Pay Scales of Assistant Professor: Academic Level-10 [Rs. 57,700/- – Rs. 1,82,400/-] with admissible allowances as per 7th CPC.
