Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow; The ANU College of Health and Medicine is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow in genomics, bioinformatics, and quantitative biology. The successful candidates will conduct discovery research, develop innovative algorithms and software solutions for genomic data analyses, and perform empirical evaluations and benchmarking experiments to enhance the utility and impact of NCIG genomic resources for the benefit of Indigenous Australians.

Eligibility/Qualification: The candidates must have a PhD in a relevant field with a strong track record of high-impact research in genomics, bioinformatics, and quantitative biology. They should have exceptional technical skills and be familiar with computational technologies, DNA sequencing platforms, and large-scale genomics data analysis.
Salary Package: $78,940-$121,857 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: 2 x Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 3 years)

Job Description: The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in conducting discovery research, developing innovative algorithms and software solutions for genomic data analyses, and performing empirical evaluations and benchmarking experiments to enhance the utility and impact of NCIG genomic resources for the benefit of Indigenous Australians. They will report to and be mentored by Dr Patel at the John Curtin School of Medical Research and work closely with eminent external agencies and collaborators both nationally and internationally to deliver outcomes for research, engagement, and outreach from projects recently funded by the NHMRC. The candidates will also have opportunities to supervise research students (PhD, Honours and undergraduate), submit funding proposals, and lead research publications to enable their growth.
