Postdoc: The Genetics of Dehydration: The Moi Exposito-Alonso Lab at Stanford University, in collaboration with the Carnegie Institution for Science and WALII.science, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate the genetics of plant dehydration tolerance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the understanding of climate change impacts on plant species from a molecular evolution perspective. The successful candidate will work with model systems such as Arabidopsis thaliana and other species, utilizing genetics, molecular biology, and bioengineering approaches.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • BSc + PhD in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or bioengineering.
  • Strong research productivity and independence.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Leading independent research, including experimental design, data analysis, and publication preparation.
  • Conducting phenotyping experiments for dehydration traits in the greenhouse and/or field.
  • Collaborating with lab members and actively contributing to the WALII.science initiative.
  • Engaging in lab-wide tasks to foster a productive and positive research environment.
  • Mentoring and serving as an example for graduate students.
