Postdoctoral Scholar Position Available: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team. The position involves conducting metabolic modeling of oligotrophic coastal marine bacteria. The research will encompass tasks such as genome-scale metabolic modeling, culturing, flux balance analysis, and potential involvement in stable isotope probing and isolation of new strains. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing our understanding of microbial metabolism and regulation in relation to growth dynamics.

Job Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing genome-scale metabolic models of oligotrophic coastal marine bacteria. The research will involve conducting culturing experiments, performing flux balance analysis, and potentially working with stable isotope probing techniques and the isolation of novel strains. The Postdoctoral Scholar will collaborate with a team of researchers, analyze data, and contribute to the publication of research findings. The position is funded for a period of 36 months, with the possibility of extension.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae (CV) and a motivation letter via email to Dr. Cameron Thrash at thrash@usc.edu. In the email, please outline your qualifications, research experience, and reasons for your interest in joining the project.
Last Date for Apply: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. We encourage early submissions as the review process will begin immediately.
