- PhD in cancer genetics, biology, or pharmacology
- Skills in cell and organoid culturing, biochemistry, molecular biology, microscopy, and animal manipulation
- Previous experience in cancer metabolism or DNA repair (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
Job Description:
Two 2-Year Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Oncology and Translational Genetics
- Position 1: Characterize metabolic vulnerabilities of colorectal cancers (CRC) with acquired resistance to targeted therapies. Devise therapeutic strategies combining experimental drugs and targeting metabolic liabilities to achieve synthetic lethality outcomes.
- Position 2: Design novel therapeutic strategies for patients with prostate cancer (both locally advanced and metastatic). Identify unexplored DNA repair defects and metabolic vulnerabilities to overcome primary and acquired resistance to current therapies.
- Generate novel preclinical models (patient-derived cell lines, organoids, and PDXs) to test proposed therapeutic strategies in clinical settings.
- Collaborate in an international, dynamic, and multidisciplinary environment at Candiolo Cancer Institute, equipped with state-of-the-art core facilities.
- Collaborate with University of Torino Medical School and other national and international institutions.
