Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Biology: Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the field of plant molecular biology. We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual with excellent molecular biology skills to investigate the molecular and biochemical mechanisms underlying chloroplast formation in plants. This research is part of our focus on novel gene discovery and understanding their roles in plant metabolism and plastid development. The project involves molecular, biochemical, and genetic approaches, including cutting-edge technologies, to elucidate how a newly discovered gene induces ectopic chloroplast formation. The postdoc will also have the opportunity to explore additional research projects in related areas, both in model and crop species.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Associate
