Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in economics, completed before April 2024
  • Expertise in conducting high-quality research
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomics and quantitative research methods
  • Expertise in applying computational methods and programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, and Dynare)
  • Publications or evidence of potential to publish in international peer-reviewed economics journals
  • Excellent command of English; a good command of German is recommended but not mandatory

Job Description: As a Postdoc in Macroeconomics, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research with an emphasis on macroeconomics
  • Demonstrating expertise in computational economics and teaching related courses
  • Handling a teaching load of four class hours per week per semester and supervising theses

This is a full-time position (39.83 hours per week) available as soon as possible and is limited until March 31, 2027. Salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
