PhD Scholarship in Biomedical Research: The GW4 BioMed2 MRC DTP offers a unique opportunity for aspiring biomedical researchers. This program is a collaborative effort by the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff (lead), and Exeter, designed to nurture the next generation of biomedical scientists. The GW4 BioMed2 MRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is offering up to 22 fully-funded studentships in various biomedical disciplines, with a starting date of October 2024.

Study Area: Biomedical Research
The scholarships cover a broad range of projects and research themes, including but not limited to:
- Infection, Immunity, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Repair.
- Neuroscience and Mental Health.
- Population Health Sciences.
The scholarships aim to foster innovative, cutting-edge research that contributes to the development of biomedical science.
Eligibility:
- Residency: Scholarships are available to both UK and International applicants. EU students will be considered international unless they have EU Settlement Scheme rights, and the GW4 partners will cover the cost difference between home and international tuition fees.
- Academic Criteria: Applicants must hold a first or upper second-class UK honours degree or an equivalent qualification in relevant areas of medical sciences, computing, mathematics, or the physical sciences. Lower second-class applicants with a Master’s degree may also be considered.
- English Language Requirements: Non-native English speakers must meet the language requirements of the host university.
