Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f) – 100%: The University Children’s Hospital Zurich is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a two-year research project, “Brain age and digital twins as markers of infant neurodevelopment: a machine-learning approach using multinational MRI data.” This project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation’s Korean-Swiss Science and Technology Programme (KSSTP) grant and is led by Prof. Dr. Andras Jakab at the Center for MR-Research, University Children’s Hospital Zurich. The role involves developing innovative techniques for generating realistic MR images of infants, designing an efficient image segmentation network, creating a machine learning-driven approach for estimating brain age from images, sharing code with collaborators, and more.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in engineering or computer science.
- Research experience in image analysis utilizing machine learning.

- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:
- Working on the research project “Brain age and digital twins as markers of infant neurodevelopment.”
- Developing techniques for generating realistic MR images of infants.
- Designing an efficient image segmentation network.
- Creating a machine learning-driven approach for estimating brain age from images.
- Sharing code with project collaborators and the research community.
- Providing guidance and supervision to master’s thesis students and interns.
- Collaborating with the Principal Investigator to coordinate research tasks.
- Coordinating data annotation and sharing with the Korean research team.
- Undertaking visits to the Korean research partner as needed.
