Job Description:
Research Project on Agrochemical Pollutant Contamination in Tropical Forest Insects
As a PhD researcher, you will investigate agrochemical contamination in tropical forest soils and insects. This project focuses on dung beetles and Meliponini stingless bees in farm-forest frontiers. Your key responsibilities include:
- Identifying prevalent and high-risk pollutants for tropical forest soil and insects.
- Assessing how pollution effects vary with landscape context, species, and functional groups.
- Revealing the source, scale, and influence of pollutant contaminants in tropical forests.
- Informing sustainable agriculture practices based on insights gained from insect responses to agricultural intensification scenarios.
